An existiing customer enquired recently looking for advice on a data dongle to be used while on the road for business as well as overnight stays in hotels. After discussing the requirements with the team he was provided multiple network options, tariffs and contract periods as well as the new O2 net book offer from Logical.

With the new O2 net book option the equipment has the sim built into the device so there is no need for an additional external data dongle and additional cost implications. After calculating the cost of buying the net book out right and the data tariff as well as the dongle this option proved more cost effective.

| Globe Architects, a Sheffield based Architectural company with a long standing history with Logical Telecom suddenly had a major system fault due to a blown power supply. Within one phone call to Logical a designated engineer was despatched straight to site to investigate the problem. |
Due to a fault beyond our control we could not repair this at first point of call, however we returned to site the following day and installed a loan IP Office system to get the company back up and running once again.
It was at this time that Globe Architects also advised Logical of their intention to move offices and that their move date was little over two weeks away. Upon completing the install of loan IP Office system, Logical’s engineer took off to the new site to complete a full site survey. After obtaining as much information as possible he returned to Logical HQ and handed over floor diagrams, BT bills and the customer’s requirements to the Sales Department. |
Sales quickly found that both sites were located within different BT exchange areas despite being less than 10 minutes away from each other. Although there were options available to the customer, they decided that new numbers were acceptable and also the quickest way to move forward and complete the move.
The solution that Logical proposed was to install new ISDN2 lines with DDI, this would enable the customer to receive simultaneous calls and to have their own direct dial numbers, aswell as having the fax machine as an extension off the phone system. By having the fax machine as an extension off the system, Globe Architects are saving over £150 over a 12 month period by not having an analogue line installed. |
| The system, an Avaya IP500, provides Globe Architects with everything they require from a phone system and more. Although their current requirements are very basic, the system has the functionality and expandability to grow as the business grows |

Englands opening game on Saturday against the USA should result in a win to set England up for a terrific world cup.
